The real estate and land management sectors in Azerbaijan are undergoing significant reforms, as the country aims to increase efficiency, transparency, and sustainability. In recent years, Azerbaijan has been working to improve its land administration systems by adopting advanced technologies, including digital cadastral systems, which are vital for effective land registration, planning, and development.
Israel, with its extensive experience in land resource management and innovative approaches to digital cadastral systems, has been at the forefront of advancements in this field.
For instance, in March 2023, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov acknowledged Israeli companies' interest in implementing the "smart cities" concept in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, highlighting potential collaboration in urban development projects. Additionally, in September 2023, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Avi Dichter held a videoconference to discuss diversifying trade and economic relations, including opportunities in agriculture and digital technologies.
Moreover, in May 2024, Azerbaijani officials invited Israeli companies to invest in Karabakh's economic zones, including industrial parks in the region, indicating a broader interest in Israeli involvement in reconstruction and development projects.
While these initiatives suggest a growing interest in collaboration between Azerbaijan and Israel in areas related to land management and urban development
