Azerbaijan's flag carrier adds new flights to Tivat and Batumi for summer season
Azerbaijan's national airline, AZAL, is expanding its summer flight schedule with two new destinations: the picturesque coastal cities of Tivat in Montenegro and Batumi in Georgia.
Starting April 28, AZAL will operate regular flights to Tivat twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, the airline's press service told Caliber.Az.
Just a few days later, from May 2, Batumi will be added to the roster, with flights every Friday and Sunday.
Both routes offer convenient access to some of the region’s most beloved seaside towns—Tivat, with its blend of Adriatic beauty and modern marina life, and Batumi, known for its Black Sea breeze and lively streets.
Tickets are available through AZAL’s website, mobile app, ticket offices, and authorised agencies.
Founded in 1992, AZAL is headquartered in Baku and operates from its main hub at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The airline serves a wide range of destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the CIS, with both passenger and cargo services. Known for its modern fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, AZAL emphasises high safety standards and service quality and is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
AZAL also operates Buta Airways, its low-cost subsidiary, offering affordable travel options for regional routes.
