Azerbaijan, Brazil sign 2026 customs cooperation plan PHOTO

Azerbaijan and Brazil have taken a step towards closer customs cooperation by signing a Joint Cooperation Plan for 2026, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan said on July 27.

The agreement was signed during the official visit to Azerbaijan of Fabiano Coelho, head of the Brazilian Customs Administration, Caliber.Az reports.

The document is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two countries' customs authorities and expand the exchange of expertise, according to the committee.

During talks at the State Customs Committee, officials reviewed the current state of bilateral ties and discussed prospects for deepening cooperation, with particular focus on enhancing institutional collaboration and sharing best practices in customs administration.

As part of the visit, the Brazilian delegation was presented with an overview of the reforms and initiatives implemented by Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, highlighting the country's efforts to modernise customs procedures and improve operational efficiency.
