Azerbaijan reports rise in Caspian ferry passenger traffic Maritime Figures / Details

Azerbaijan's state-owned ferry operator, the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), transported 13,219 passengers across the Caspian Sea in the first half of 2026, marking a 3.4% increase from the same period last year.

According to ASCO, June recorded the highest monthly passenger traffic during the six-month period, with 2,944 passengers carried, Caliber.Az reports.

The June figure represented a 25.6% year-on-year increase compared with the same month in 2025, reflecting growing demand for ferry services on the Caspian Sea.
