29 July 2026 14:31

Azerbaijan's Space Agency (Azercosmos) exported $13.1 million worth of satellite telecommunications services during the first six months of 2026, marking a significant increase from a year earlier.

According to the latest Export Review published by the Centre for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms, satellite telecommunications service exports rose 54.1% compared with the same period in 2025, Caliber.Az reports per local media

Between January and June, around 90 companies from 33 countries purchased Azercosmos's satellite telecommunications services. While the number of export markets declined by eight compared with the previous year, the agency expanded the value of its overseas sales.

The United Kingdom was the largest export destination, accounting for $2.2 million in purchases, followed by Luxembourg with $1.6 million. Other major markets included Turkey ($605,400), Pakistan ($603,400), and Egypt ($327,900).

During the reporting period, export revenue accounted for 63% of Azercosmos's total revenue, down from 65% in the first half of 2025.

In June alone, Azercosmos exported $2.3 million worth of satellite telecommunications services, representing a 53.3% year-on-year increase.
