Azerbaijan to allocate over $310 million to public legal entities
Azerbaijan plans to allocate 534.2 million manats ($314.2 million) from the state budget for 2024 to 52 public legal entities established on behalf of the state in order to carry out the necessary specialized activities and carry out other activities at the expense of the budget.
The issue finds itself in the drafts of the state and consolidated budgets of Azerbaijan submitted by the Ministry of Finance, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the document, this amount is 89.8 million manats ($52.8 million) or 20.2 per cent more than the same indicator of 2023.
The increase is mainly due to the creation of three new legal entities of public law in 2023, as well as an increase in the number of tasks based on government orders and a corresponding increase in financial capacity.
