Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan prepare to expand economic ties with new roadmap
Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan will finalize a roadmap for their joint Action Plan at a meeting in Ankara tomorrow, January 29, 2025.
The agreement, to be signed following the Foreign Ministers’ meeting, will include the Ankara Declaration and a detailed Action Plan for future collaboration, Caliber.Az reports referencing local media sources.
Additionally, the roadmap for implementing the Action Plan will be outlined during the talks.
The meeting’s agenda will focus on a wide range of issues, including foreign policy coordination, regional cooperation, and the expansion of ties in trade, economy, and investment. The parties will also discuss the development of regional transport networks and ways to strengthen cooperation in transport and communication sectors.
Azerbaijan will be represented by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, while Uzbekistan and Türkiye will be represented by Foreign Ministers Bakhtiyor Saidov and Hakan Fidan, respectively.
Akhror Burkhanov, a spokesman for the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, emphasized the importance of the trilateral platform, noting that it serves as a critical opportunity to unlock the significant untapped potential between the countries.
"The platform is vital for realizing the great untapped potential between our countries," Burkhanov stated.
This will be the third trilateral foreign ministers’ meeting, following the first held on August 2, 2022, in Uzbekistan.
