Azerbaijan, Türkiye may jointly produce air transport technologies

Azerbaijan, together with Türkiye, can produce air transport technologies.

The meetings have been recently held in Baku with representatives of the corresponding organisations, Report informs citing a source in the Turkish General Directorate of State Airports Authority.

"The both sides will be able to exchange experience and skills in reliable control over aircraft in the airspace thanks to the meetings," the source said.

The source noted that the air transport sector is very specific, however, not all countries have enterprises that produce these technologies.

“As there are few such companies in the world, they themselves determine the prices for technologies which are used in air transport. These technologies are sold at a high price. Azerbaijan and Türkiye widely use foreign technologies in air transport. For example, neither Azerbaijan nor Türkiye can produce radar systems. One of our projects is the production of our own radars. B Azerbaijan and Turkey to widely produce radar systems. The radar systems which are used today are made in Spain, Germany and UK," the message reads.

The Azerbaijani and Turkish air navigation service providers signed an important agreement covering all aspects of integrated air navigation services on May 27, 2022.
