Azerbaijani chess players win tournament in Dagestan

A chess tournament dedicated to the memory of prominent statesman and scientist Aziz Aliyev has ended in Makhachkala, the Republic of Dagestan.

The Azerbaijani team won the tournament, the Azerbaijan Chess Federation told Report.

Winner of the Junior Olympiad Narmin Abdinova, silver medalist of the European Chess Championship at the age of 12 Khagan Ahmad, as well as Shamsi Garakhanov and Attila Orman, took part in the tournament.

According to individual results, chess players Khagan Ahmad and Shamsi Garakhanov won the silver medal.
