During visits across several Turkish provinces, Zeynalov, accompanied by representatives of the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, offered condolences and emphasized the shared heroism of Turkish and Azerbaijani soldiers, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
In Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli province, he met the family of Senior Warrant Officer Berkay Karaci, stressing that “in our country, no distinction is made between the heroes of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.” Prayers were offered for the martyrs, and the Azerbaijani flag was presented to families as a symbol of unity between the two nations.
Zeynalov also visited families in Eskişehir, Tekirdağ, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Istanbul, and Bursa provinces, honoring the memories of Senior Lieutenant Emre Merjan, Senior Warrant Officers İlker Aykut, Emre Sayın, and İlhan Ongan, Major Serdar Uslu, and Gökhan Korkmaz.
The military attaché described the fallen servicemen as examples of courage and selflessness, while families expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support and solidarity.
The C-130 military transport aircraft went down in Georgia’s eastern Sighnaghi municipality, near the Azerbaijani border, shortly after taking off from Ganja. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
