Azerbaijani ecology minister, Russian ambassador discuss preparations for COP29

Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev met with Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Yevdokimov.

At the meeting issues of environmental protection, opportunities for further cooperation were discussed, and views were exchanged on preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Azerbaijan in 2024, Caliber.Az reports citing the ministry.

Azerbaijan will host the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (29th Conference of the Parties, COP29) at the end of 2024.

The 2024 Baku Climate Change Conference, or COP 29, is an international conference organized by the United Nations that will take place from November 11 to 22, 2024 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

It will be the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP) and will bring together the signatory countries of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
