Azerbaijani journalists capture essence of Pakistan’s AMAN 2025 naval exercise VIDEO
A film crew from Azerbaijan’s AnewZ TV channel joined international media to cover the prestigious AMAN 2025 naval exercise, held at Pakistan Navy Dockyard in the coastal city of Karachi.
The event, which saw participation from naval forces of 60 countries, showcased a unified global commitment to maritime safety and security, Caliber.Az reports.
The AMAN 2025 exercise focused on critical operations aimed at enhancing security and stability on the high seas. Participating nations collaborated on safeguarding vital maritime trade routes, defending freedom of navigation, and ensuring the protection of vital maritime areas in the face of emerging global challenges.
Launched in 2007, the AMAN series of multinational naval exercises have been a cornerstone in promoting regional cooperation, enhancing interoperability, and demonstrating a unified commitment to combating terrorism and maritime crimes, including piracy. AMAN 2025, the ninth installment in this ongoing series, took place from February 7 to 11, 2025, in Karachi, Pakistan.
The growing global participation in AMAN exercises over the years reflects the increasing trust and confidence placed in the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to foster collaborative maritime security. This international recognition has led to the introduction of the AMAN Dialogue, held alongside AMAN 2025 from February 8 to 10, 2025. The inaugural session of the AMAN Dialogue provided a platform for the Chiefs of Navies, Coast Guards, and Defence Forces to engage in crucial discussions on global and regional security issues.
This dialogue aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and the development of innovative solutions to address the evolving challenges at sea. By enabling multilateral and one-on-one meetings, the AMAN Dialogue seeks to strengthen cooperation among naval and defence forces, ensuring a more unified and effective approach to tackling maritime security concerns.
