Azerbaijani MEDIA dismisses viral claims of strikes on Persian Gulf countries
Claims circulating on social media alleging that rockets were launched from Azerbaijani territory toward countries in the Persian Gulf are completely unfounded, the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan (MEDIA) stated.
The agency said that the information is entirely baseless and warned against the spread of unverified content amid heightened regional tensions, Caliber.Az reports.
“Amid rising regional tensions, the spread of unverified and inaccurate information on social media contributes to the formation of false public opinion and has a deliberately disinformation-driven character. We strongly condemn such attempts.

Such claims are either a deliberate provocation or the result of a completely irresponsible and baseless approach.
Given modern technological capabilities, it is not difficult to determine the direction from which a missile or similar object was launched. The countries of the region and the Persian Gulf possess advanced radar and intelligence systems, which clearly identify the origin and trajectory of such objects.

We state that the Republic of Azerbaijan is always committed to the principles of international law, the sovereignty of states, and the protection of regional stability.
We call on all parties to rely only on verified and reliable sources and to refrain from spreading unverified information.

We also urge media outlets and social media users to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and responsibility when disseminating information, to rely solely on official and trustworthy sources, and to avoid spreading dubious and manipulative content,” the MEDIA Agency said in a statement.
