Azerbaijani president reviews reconstruction progress in Khojaly's Dashbulag village PHOTO
On September 15, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Dashbulag village in Khojaly District to inspect ongoing reconstruction and development efforts, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Dashbulag was brought under Azerbaijani control during the counter-terrorist operation conducted by the Armed Forces in September 2023. Since then, extensive work has been carried out to restore and develop the village’s social infrastructure. This includes the rehabilitation of 20 kilometres of power lines, installation of gas pipelines, construction of a reservoir and a sub-artesian well, and the setup of a transformer.
Additional works are underway, including the installation of meters, laying of an 8-kilometre gas line, reconstruction of the drinking water supply network, and preparation for communication line installation.
The village now features upgraded social facilities, a newly established park, a flag square, and paved internal roads.
Dashbulag comprises 195 houses, of which 39 are currently uninhabitable and 156 partially habitable. To date, 15 homes have been restored, with 58 scheduled for completion by the end of this year and another 83 next year. Fourteen families, totalling 72 residents, have already relocated to the village.
During his visit, President Aliyev met with Mazahir Novruzov and his family, one of the households that have moved into the restored homes, and discussed their living conditions and the ongoing development initiatives.
