Bahrain, Kuwait airspace remain closed for 31 day amid attacks on Iran
The airspace of Bahrain and Kuwait will remain closed to civilian flights for the 31st consecutive day due to the joint military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran, as reported by TASS, citing a source in Middle Eastern air traffic control services.
“The airspace closure regime in Bahrain and Kuwait has once again been extended for 12 hours — until 16:00 UTC,” the source said.
Thus, the flight ban in these countries, introduced in the first half of the day on February 28, will remain in effect for the 31st straight day. The source noted that Bahrain allows certain departures from Manama airport under special permission via the shortest corridor toward neighbouring Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, TASS reported that Iran had extended its own airspace closure until April 5.
