Black smoke seen over Russia's Perm after reported drone attack

Perm city residents in Russia have reported black smoke in the sky following an alleged Ukrainian drone strike.

Earlier on April 29, the governor of Perm Krai, Dmitry Makhonin, confirmed the attack.

He said a drone had struck an industrial site in a municipal district.

An alert was issued in the region, and Russia’s aviation authority restricted flight operations at Perm’s Bolshoye Savino Airport.

The Russian Ministry of Defence said that air defence systems destroyed 98 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight across Russian territory.

Residents also claimed that raindrops left black marks on white windowsills in residential buildings.
