Centrum Air flies empty aircraft from Dubai to Tashkent amid regional tensions
An aircraft operated by Centrum Air departed from Dubai International Airport to Tashkent without passengers, marking the first technical flight following the closure of airspace due to military actions in the region.
The airline confirmed that the flight was carried out without passengers as part of operational measures amid ongoing restrictions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.
The company said it is closely monitoring developments and will arrange additional flights to evacuate passengers once it receives official authorization.
Earlier, several flights were canceled due to temporary restrictions on the use of airspace across the Middle East. Centrum Air suspended its scheduled services on the Tashkent — Dubai — Tashkent route, as well as flights between Samarkand and Tel Aviv.
On March 2, repatriation flights were launched on the Jeddah — Tashkent route to facilitate the return of Uzbek citizens.
