Chemical odour blankets drone-hit Russian city

Residents of the Russian city of Perm, targeted by drones from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported a serious aftermath as a strong chemical smell spread across the area. 

Locals complained of the odour and suggested there could be two separate sources of smoke, Caliber.Az reports, citing a Russian Telegram channel.

Earlier, Governor Dmitry Makhonin said the drones had targeted an industrial facility, adding that there was no significant damage and no threat of chemical contamination.

Residents had previously shared videos on social media showing a large mushroom-shaped cloud rising after air raid sirens were heard. Footage suggests the fire broke out near a residential area of the city.

The day before, the Perm region was also subjected to another wave of Ukrainian drone attacks.
