Child killed in drone attack on Russia's Yaroslavl region
A child was killed, and two adults were seriously injured following a drone attack on Yaroslavl Oblast, Russia, regional governor Mikhail Evraev said.
Writing on Telegram, Evraev stated that the attack, attributed to Ukraine, resulted in the death of a child, while the child’s parents were hospitalised in critical condition.
According to the governor, Russian air defence systems and electronic warfare units intercepted and neutralised more than 30 drones during the incident.
He added that the attack caused damage to several residential buildings as well as a commercial property. A resident of a neighbouring house was also reported injured.
Emergency services are providing medical assistance to those affected, and authorities have pledged that families will receive all due compensation.
Evraev said units from the Russian Ministry of Defence and other security agencies continue to operate in the region to maintain safety and prevent further incidents.
