China, US make no progress on Ukrainian crisis discussion
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has said that there has been no progress in discussions between China and the US regarding the Ukrainian crisis.
Sullivan made these remarks during a briefing after a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"I cannot confirm that we have made any progress on the issue of the Ukrainian crisis," Sullivan said.
He noted that China has openly expressed its view that the conflict should be resolved through diplomatic means.
"We did not agree on any specific diplomatic plan because the US adheres strictly to the principle of 'nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.' Ultimately, it will be up to Ukraine to decide how it wishes to conduct diplomacy and negotiations," Sullivan added.
