CSTO members express interest in Russian experience in countering drones
Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) have shown interest in Russia’s experience in countering unmanned aerial vehicles and in the field of cybersecurity, the organisation’s Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov stated.
“The issue of the experience that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have gained in the ‘special military operation’ was raised. There is interest among our countries, members of our organisation, in sharing experience in terms of countering unmanned aerial systems, as well as in the field of cybersecurity,” he said following a meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of CSTO member states.
Masadykov also noted that in some countries, there was a proposal to consider conducting cybersecurity exercises and even the potential creation of cyber units within the CSTO.
