Deadly drone attack rocks Russia’s Tuapse seaport, casualties confirmed PHOTO / VIDEO
A drone attack on the seaport of Tuapse and the resulting fire have been confirmed by the governor of Russia’s Krasnodar region, with preliminary reports indicating one fatality and one injured person.
“Tuapse was subjected to another massive drone attack overnight. As a result, in the seaport, according to preliminary information, one man was killed. I extend my deepest condolences to his family. Another person was injured and is receiving all necessary medical assistance.
I am receiving operational reports from the municipal head on the situation. A fire broke out in the seaport. At this time, it is also known that UAV debris damaged windows in a number of buildings across the city, including a primary school, a kindergarten, a museum, a church, an apartment building, as well as a gas pipeline. Emergency and specialised services are working at all impact sites,” Governor Veniamin Kondratyev wrote.
According to open-source intelligence analysis by ASTRA based on eyewitness footage, a large fire also broke out in the tank farm of the Tuapse oil refinery.
The facility had previously been attacked on the night of April 16 and burned for several days.

The Tuapse Oil Refinery, located in Russia’s Krasnodar region, is operated by RN-Tuapse Refinery LLC and forms part of a unified production complex with the marine terminal of Rosneft’s fuel supply enterprise, RN-Marine Terminal Tuapse. It is part of the Rosneft oil company.
