Deputy FM: Armenia turning into Western tool against Russia
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Armenia is increasingly serving as a tool for the West in its confrontation with Moscow.
In an interview with TASS, Galuzin recalled that Armenian officials have repeatedly expressed their intention to maintain current ties with Russia and cooperate within the Eurasian Economic Union, noting that “Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan previously emphasized the country’s stance, ‘not implying harm to Russia’s interests.’”
“Nevertheless, we see Yerevan accelerating military-political and economic alignment with Western countries and blocs. We have repeatedly told our Armenian partners that, for the West—and this is no longer hidden—Armenia is a geopolitical instrument in the confrontation with Moscow,” he concluded.
