Direct flights between Russia’s Perm, Georgia’s Batumi resume after years
09 June 2026 17:02
Direct air service between Russia’s Perm and Georgia’s Batumi has resumed as of June 9, with the first flight operated by Red Wings airline using a Superjet aircraft.
According to the regional transport ministry, 92 out of 100 passenger seats were sold, giving the inaugural flight a 92% occupancy rate.
The seasonal flight program will run from June to October. Flights from Perm will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays, while flights from Batumi will depart on Mondays and Thursdays. The travel time is approximately 3.5 hours.
Direct flights between the two cities were suspended in July 2019 following anti-Russian protests in Georgia. Previously, the route was also served by Pobeda airline.
