Eighteen apartment buildings in Russia's Moscow region were damaged in a drone attack on June 18, regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov said.
In a statement posted on Telegram, Vorobyov said the attack also resulted in the death of an eight-year-old girl in the town of Ramenskoye. According to the governor, a fire broke out after the incident while the child was at home with her grandmother, who was not injured, Caliber.Az reports.
“Unfortunately, an 8-year-old girl died in a fire in Ramenskoye as a result of today’s drone attack,” Vorobyov said, offering condolences to the victim’s family and pledging government support for those affected.
Regional authorities are assessing the damage and working to assist residents impacted by the attack, the governor added.
