Drone attack disrupts retail supply chain in Russia's Leningrad region VIDEO

A drone strike hit a logistics facility operated by Lenta in Russia’s Leningrad Region, injuring a worker and disrupting operations, the company said.

The incident occurred at one of Lenta’s distribution centres located within a larger logistics park that hosts multiple warehouse complexes. A forklift driver sustained burns after the unmanned aerial vehicle fell on the site and has been hospitalised, according to company representatives.

“The company is assessing the damage and taking possible measures to resume operations of the distribution centre as soon as possible. The attack was carried out on a logistics park that houses several distribution centres, including ours,” Lenta said in a statement.

Lenta is among the country’s largest retail operators, managing hundreds of outlets nationwide. As of June 30, 2026, its network comprised 346 hypermarkets, 395 supermarkets, 4,396 convenience stores and an additional 2,159 smaller-format shops.

The strike follows earlier reports of drone attacks targeting warehouse infrastructure in the region. News outlet ASTRA previously reported similar incidents, while regional governor Alexander Drozdenko said there were no casualties at nearby facilities operated by the merged entity Wildberries and Russ in the settlement of Krasny Bor.
