Drone attack sparks fire at enterprise in Russia's Ryazan region

A Ukrainian drone attack targeted the Russian city of Ryazan overnight on July 29, triggering a fire at one of the city's industrial enterprises, Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov announced on Telegram.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, while Malkov did not specify which facility had been hit. He urged residents to stay indoors and avoid approaching windows during the attack.

According to the governor, six people were injured in the drone strike and were taken to hospital. He said their lives are not in danger.

Malkov added that falling drone debris caused fires at industrial sites but did not identify the affected facilities.

Air raid alerts have since been lifted in the region, and Russian air defence forces have completed their operations, the governor noted.
