A series of drone attacks struck parts of western Russia, causing fires, damage to residential buildings, and civilian casualties.
In the town of Kstovo, located in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a fire broke out following a reported drone strike. Local residents cited by the ASTRA TV channel said the blaze erupted shortly after the attack, though details on the extent of the damage remain limited.

Further southeast in the Samara region, a drone crashed into a residential high-rise building in the city of Samara. Footage published by ASTRA showed significant damage to the structure, including the destruction of the roof of a building at 37 Demokraticheskaya Street.
Regional authorities confirmed that at least one person was killed and two others were injured in the attacks. According to the governor of the Samara region, drone strikes also targeted industrial facilities in the nearby city of Novokuybyshevsk, where preliminary reports indicate one fatality.
Debris from one of the drones reportedly fell onto the roof of an apartment building in Samara, injuring civilians on the ground. One of the victims was hospitalsed.
“Enemy drones are attacking our region,” the governor said in a statement, adding that an operational headquarters had been established and emergency services were responding to the incidents.
