Drone attacks spark fires at Russian port, oil refinery
Drones struck a seaport in southern Russia and an oil refinery in the Volga region overnight, triggering fires and damaging infrastructure.
The first reported attack occurred at around 12:30 am local time in the town of Temryuk, in Russia’s Krasnodar region, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.
Several unidentified drones targeted the town’s seaport, with large flames seen in the area shortly afterwards.
Fuel storage tanks caught fire following the strike. Footage of the blaze was later circulated online.
About an hour later, the regional crisis response headquarters in Krasnodar confirmed the drone attack and said elements of the port’s infrastructure had been damaged.
“Due to a UAV attack, parts of the port infrastructure in Temryuk were damaged. A fire broke out. According to the regional emergency services, 32 specialists and eight pieces of equipment have been deployed to extinguish the fire. Special and emergency services are working at the site. Preliminary information indicates there are no casualties; staff have been evacuated,” the statement said.
At approximately 1:40 am, reports began to emerge of another drone attack — this time on the Syzran oil refinery in Russia’s Samara region. Images circulating on social media appeared to show a fire burning nearby.

As of now, no official comment has been issued by local authorities in Syzran, and it remains unclear what type of weapon was used in the alleged attack.
