Drone debris ignites oil depot in Russia’s Tambov region

A fire broke out at an oil depot in Russia’s Tambov region after Ukrainian forces attempted a drone strike overnight on December 3, regional authorities said.

According to Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov, unmanned aerial vehicles launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were intercepted, but falling debris ignited the facility. The incident was reported on his official Telegram channel.

Emergency services, including fire brigades and police units, were quickly dispatched to the site.

“All necessary forces and resources have been deployed,” Pervyshov said, adding that efforts to contain the blaze were underway.
