Drone hits high-rise in Russia's Yekaterinburg, damage reported video
A drone reportedly struck a high-rise building in central Yekaterinburg, Russia, causing damage and possible injuries, according to local reports.
The incident was first reported by the Telegram channel SHOT, which cited accounts from residents in the area.
According to the outlet, locals said the drone hit a high-rise building in the city center, shattering windows. Preliminary information suggests that there may be casualties as a result of the strike.
“Local residents said that they heard a loud explosion about 15 minutes ago. Before that, there was a distinct sound of an engine in the sky. According to locals, a Ukrainian drone crashed into a high-rise building. Windows were shattered and smoke was visible in the sky,” the report said.
Witnesses reported hearing a strong explosion shortly before the damage was observed, preceded by the sound of an engine in the sky. Smoke was later seen rising near the building.
