Drone, missile strikes hit multiple Russian cities, causing infrastructure damage PHOTO

15 December 2025 10:11

Russian regions have recently come under coordinated Ukrainian attacks, with drones and missiles hitting residential areas, energy facilities, and industrial sites, causing widespread disruptions.

Rostov Governor Yury Slusar wrote on his Telegram that a large-scale drone strike hit multiple cities and districts across Rostov Oblast, including Rostov-on-Don, Kamensk, Novoshakhtinsk, Kamensky, Millerovsky, Chertkovsky, Belokalitvinsky, Sholokhovsky, Tatsinsky, Tarasovsky, Morozovsky, and Konstantinovsky, but fortunately, no casualties were reported, Caliber.Az reports.

“The aftermath of the attack was recorded in Rostov, Kamensk, Kamensky, and Tarasovsky districts. In Rostov, two private cars parked near a house caught fire. The car owner, who attempted to extinguish the fire on his own, suffered a hand burn. He received medical assistance but refused hospitalisation. The fire was extinguished by the arriving emergency crew,” the governor said.

Slyusar noted that several private homes, including those on Vsesoyuznaya Street in Rostov and in Derkul, Tarasovsky District, sustained roof damage, while drone fragments also fell on properties in Nizhnyemityakin, Stara Stanitsa, Malaya Kamenka, and Kamensk, causing partial window damage in several buildings.

Additionally, a damaged power line in Kamensk led to a temporary halt of the local water pumping station, leaving residents of the Zavodskoy district, Maslovka village, and Pogorelov station without water.

Ukrainian project Exilenova+ released footage showing a fire in Rostov-on-Don following the strike, which ASTRA geolocated near house number 128 on Naberezhnaya Street, approximately 2 kilometres from the Rostov branch of the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery.

Meanwhile, Belgorod faced its own strike when a missile hit the Luch Combined Heat and Power Plant, partially cutting electricity supply to the city, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.

The attack caused serious damage to local engineering infrastructure and affected six apartment buildings and one private house, shattering windows. Emergency and operational services are actively responding to the damage. Preliminary reports indicate that no injuries occurred.

According to the ASTRA channel, the Luch Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) was hit.

These incidents mark a continuation of Ukrainian efforts to target Russian logistical and industrial sites in the southern and western regions, reflecting escalating tensions and ongoing military engagements along the border areas.
