Drone strike hits industrial site in Russia's Armavir
An oil depot in the Russian city of Armavir caught fire following a drone attack overnight, local authorities said, as cited by ASTRA.
The incident took place in the city’s industrial zone, where a facility operated by LLC “Yuzhnaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya” sustained damage during what officials described as an attack involving unmanned aerial vehicles.
“Last night, in the industrial zone of Armavir, as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, a facility belonging to LLC ‘Yuzhnaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya’ was damaged,” the Armavir administration said.
“According to operational services, a fire broke out on the territory of the oil depot. Fire crews, Emergency Situations Ministry personnel, and representatives of law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the scene,” the statement said.
“At present, specialists are localising the source of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage,” the administration added.
Authorities later confirmed that the fire had been contained and that no injuries were reported.
