Drone strike hits residential building in Belgorod, nine injured
A drone attack on a residential building in Belgorod left nine people injured, regional authorities said.
According to the operational headquarters of the Belgorod region, the unmanned aerial vehicle struck an apartment building, causing significant damage and civilian casualties.
“In Belgorod, as a result of a drone attack on an apartment building, nine people were injured. A three-year-old child has been hospitalised in the regional children’s clinical hospital. Three of the injured continue treatment in medical institutions in the city of Belgorod, while the others have been discharged for outpatient treatment. More than 70 apartments in the building were damaged. Experts will assess the condition of the structural elements. In addition, as a result of UAV strikes in the city, three apartment buildings, an infrastructure facility, equipment on the premises of a commercial site, and 19 vehicles were damaged,” the statement said.
Authorities added that, over the past 24 hours, a total of 17 people were injured across the region, with one person reported to be in serious condition.
