Drone strike hits Russia’s Tver region, 350 evacuated to safety
The city of Rzhev in Russia’s Tver region came under a Ukrainian UAV attack, according to TASS.
Several residential buildings were damaged, and 350 people, including 60 children, were evacuated. No casualties were reported.
Regional governor Vitaly Korolev said emergency services and local authorities coordinated the evacuation.
“I would like to note the coordinated work of our emergency ministry staff and the leadership of Rzhev. Residents of the buildings — 350 people, including 60 children — were promptly evacuated and placed in a local hotel.
Special services have already inspected the roofs and residential premises for safety. A decision has been made allowing people to return to their apartments. We spoke with residents on site and clarified the approximate scope of restoration work,” he said.
