Drone strike hits Russian post facility in Voronezh region PHOTO / VIDEO / UPDATED

A drone strike in Russia’s Voronezh region targeted a facility operated by Russian Post located within a logistics complex belonging to retailer Magnit, according to updated open-source analysis.

The revised assessment was published by ASTRA, which had earlier reported that eyewitness footage showed a drone hitting a major Magnit distribution centre in the village of Nechayevka, in the Novousmansky district.

The facility, located at 90A Vinogradnaya Street, is part of a large logistics hub that supplies hundreds of Magnit stores across several regions of Russia’s Black Earth area, according to publicly available data.

However, ASTRA said its updated analysis indicates that the drone instead struck a warehouse building used by Russian Post, situated at the same address within the broader logistics complex.

A logistics hub operated by Russian retailer Magnit in the Voronezh region was struck in a suspected drone attack on Thursday morning, July 23, according to open-source analysts.

The assessment was made by ASTRA, which said it had reviewed video footage circulating online.

The analysts concluded that a drone hit a distribution centre located in the village of Nechayevka in the Novousmansky district. The facility supplies stores across several regions of Russia’s Black Earth area.

Separately, ASTRA reported visible smoke rising above a warehouse operated by Wildberries in the city of Zelenodolsk in Tatarstan. However, it said available footage did not allow confirmation of whether the site had sustained any damage.

In total, the analysts estimated that three major logistics facilities in Russia were targeted in attacks over the past 24 hours.
