Drone strike hits Wildberries logistics hub in Russia’s Yekaterinburg VIDEO

A drone attack targeted an area near a Wildberries logistics complex in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, with preliminary reports indicating that the strike hit the facility's parking area rather than the warehouse itself, Russian media reports. 

The governor of Russia's Sverdlovsk region said a fire broke out in the parking lot after debris from a downed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fell in the area.

Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, said its logistics complex was not damaged and that operations at the site were unaffected. 

Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign "Madyar" and commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, said Ukrainian drones have targeted six Wildberries logistics centres located in Elektrostal in the Moscow region, Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, Shushary and Utkina Zavod near St. Petersburg, and Simferopol.

Wildberries stated that its “logistics complex was not damaged”.

On July 24, drone attacks sparked fires at two Wildberries logistics warehouses near St. Petersburg, injuring three people and temporarily suspending operations at both facilities, according to Russian regional authorities and the company.

Earlier, on July 18, Ukrainian drones struck major Wildberries warehouses in Elektrostal, in the Moscow region, and Kotovsk, in the Tambov region. The attacks caused large fires and left 37 people injured, according to Russian officials. Ukrainian forces said the facilities were legitimate military-related targets, alleging they were being used to support Russian military logistics.

A further attack on July 20 targeted another Wildberries logistics hub near Podolsk in the Moscow region, as well as nearby fuel infrastructure, triggering large fires that were visible from a considerable distance.
