Drone strike injures civilian in Russia’s Belgorod region

A civilian was injured after a drone strike hit a commercial facility in Russia’s Belgorod region, local authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred in the village of Krinichnoe in the Rakityansky district, where a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reportedly detonated on the premises of a business site, Caliber.Az cites a Telegram statement of the region’s Operational Headquarters. 

Authorities said a man sustained shrapnel wounds to the abdomen as a result of the explosion. An ambulance crew transported him to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod, where he is receiving the necessary medical treatment.

The blast also damaged a truck, which was struck by shrapnel, the statement added.
