Drone strike sparks fire at oil refinery in Russia, officials confirm Video
A fire broke out at the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region following a drone attack, according to the regional operational headquarters.
In a statement, officials said there were no casualties. A storage tank containing petroleum products was damaged in the incident, and the fire spread across an area of approximately 700 square metres, Caliber.Az reports.
Emergency services were deployed to contain the blaze, with 72 personnel and 21 units of equipment involved in firefighting efforts. Specialists from the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were among those responding. Authorities also confirmed that a fire train had been dispatched to assist at the scene.
The extent of the damage to refinery operations has not yet been disclosed.
