Dushanbe hosts Georgian PM for strategic talks
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has arrived in Dushanbe on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation between Georgia and Tajikistan.
Kobakhidze is scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with Tajikistan's senior leadership during his stay in the country, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The Georgian prime minister will meet with Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly Faizali Idizoda, and President Emomali Rahmon. The talks are expected to focus on key areas of bilateral cooperation and matters of mutual interest.
Joint statements to the media are anticipated following the meetings.
Kobakhidze is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprising the heads of several key government ministries, including foreign affairs, economy, agriculture, education, and culture, as well as the chief of the government administration.
