Exiled Russian actor sells Moscow properties after relocating to Lithuania PHOTO/VIDEO

Veteran Russian actor Alexander Filippenko, who left Russia in 2022 and has publicly supported Ukraine, has sold two apartments in central Moscow while living in Lithuania.

Filippenko, a People's Artist of Russia best known for his roles in "The Master and Margarita" and "My Friend Ivan Lapshin," owned two apartments near Moscow's prestigious Patriarch's Ponds district. One apartment on Bogoslovsky Lane measured 55 square metres, while another on Spiridonievsky Lane covered approximately 110 square metres, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Both properties were sold after the actor's departure from Russia. The apartments were estimated to be worth up to 55 million rubles ($700,000) and more than 100 million rubles ($1.3 million), respectively.

Filippenko still owns a house and a plot of land in Moscow's Novo-Peredelkino district. The property has reportedly been listed for sale, although no buyer has been found. He also allegedly retains ownership of a small room near Patriarch's Ponds.

Filippenko left Russia in November 2022 following the start of Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Before and after his departure, he publicly expressed support for Ukraine and participated in cultural events the proceeds opf which were directed toward Ukrainian causes.

Known for his stage performances and film work spanning several decades, Filippenko has been a prominent figure in Russian theater and cinema. His credits include one-man productions based on works by Russian literary classics as well as roles in numerous Soviet and Russian films,  such as "The Poet’s Path" (commemorating the 100th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin), "Dead Souls," and others.
