Expert: No monkeypox cases in Azerbaijan

Specialist expert of the Azerbaijani Health Ministry, infectious disease specialist Tayyar Eyvazov has said that it is possible to combat monkeypox by keeping the epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan under control.

“The virus has not become widespread yet,” Report quotes Eyvazov as saying.

He noted that this virus has not been observed in Azerbaijan today.

“However, this does not mean that this will not happen. Azerbaijan has taken advanced measures to combat this disease,” the expert added.
