Family of five perishes in devastating fire in Russia’s Khabarovsk Photo
A woman and her four children were killed in a nighttime house fire in Russia’s Far East, authorities said.
The tragedy occurred in the village of Kukan in the Khabarovsk district of Khabarovsk Krai. The family was living in a wooden home on Novaya Street when the blaze broke out overnight, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
By the time firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed approximately 80 square meters. The house was completely destroyed.
Emergency crews later extinguished the blaze. Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
A criminal case has been opened, and the regional prosecutor’s office has launched an official investigation into the incident. Authorities have not yet released further details.
