Fatality reported after strikes in Russia’s Belgorod region PHOTO
One person has been killed following a series of drone attacks in Russia’s Belgorod region, according to regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
In a statement, Gladkov said: “In the Belgorod district, in the settlement of Komsomolsky, a drone struck a warehouse facility, causing the building to catch fire. The fire was extinguished by firefighting crews.”
He added that in the city of Belgorod, a fixed-wing drone targeted the parking area of an enterprise, damaging 14 vehicles.
According to the governor, the town of Shebekino was also hit by multiple drone strikes. “An apartment building in Shebekino was attacked by two drones. An apartment on the third floor was partially destroyed, and the facade and glazing of the apartments were damaged. Debris also caught fire in the apartment due to detonation — the fire was extinguished by Emergency Ministry personnel. As a result of another drone attack in the city, windows in an administrative building were shattered,” he said.

Gladkov said the attacks resulted in a civilian fatality. “Another targeted strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine claimed the life of a civilian resident…
In Shebekino, as a result of an FPV drone attack near a private house, a woman was killed... She died at the scene before the ambulance arrived,” the statement said.
