Fire at power plant in Russia's Khabarovsk turns deadly

A fire has occurred at Khabarovsk-3 thermal power plant in Russia's Khabarovsk Krai, the regional office of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

“At the time the first firefighting unit arrived, smoke was observed coming from the roof of one of the buildings, where roofing work was presumably underway,” Caliber.Az quotes the ministry as saying on Telegram.

Firefighters are currently containing the blaze, with 32 personnel and 12 pieces of equipment involved in the operation.

According to the Telegram channel Guberniya Khabarovsk, a person was found at the scene without signs of life.

Another Telegram channel, 112, reported that two people were injured in the fire, one of whom did not survive.
