Fire breaks out at pedagogical college in Russia’s Novosibirsk PHOTO/VIDEO
A major fire broke out at A.S. Makarenko Pedagogical College No. 1 in Novosibirsk, Russia, on December 9, forcing the evacuation of more than 600 people.
The fire began in a chemistry classroom on the third floor before quickly spreading to the building's roof, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

According to students at the college, the blaze may have been caused by problems with the electrical wiring. No injuries have been reported, and all 670 students and staff were safely evacuated as emergency responders arrived on the scene.
Sixty-seven personnel from Russia's Emergency Ministry, along with 17 pieces of specialised equipment, were deployed to tackle the fire. Despite the scale of the incident, no casualties were reported, and authorities confirmed that classes have been canceled for the day.
