Fire breaks out at Russia's Vysotsk port after drone attack

A fire broke out in the area of the port of Vysotsk in Russia’s Leningrad region during a drone attack overnight, regional authorities said.

Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported that the incident occurred amid a large-scale UAV attack targeting the region. According to his statement, air defense forces destroyed 27 drones during the night.

“Drone threat alert has been lifted across the entire territory of the Leningrad region. Overnight, air defence forces destroyed 27 enemy UAVs. There is a fire in the area of the port of Vysotsk, which is currently being extinguished. No casualties or other damage have been recorded at this time,” Drozdenko said.

Emergency services are continuing efforts to extinguish the fire at the port. As of the latest information, no injuries or additional damage have been reported.
