Fire keeps burning at Wildberries warehouse complex in Russia’s Elektrostal

The Wildberries warehouse complex in Elektrostal, Russia's Moscow region, remains on fire despite firefighters containing the main blaze, Filipp Yefanov, head of the city's district administration said.

“Emergency Ministry personnel have localized the main seat of the fire at the Wildberries warehouse complex. Efforts are continuing to extinguish remaining hotspots, while specialised equipment is being used to cool the site and clear debris. All necessary assistance is being provided to those affected,” Yefanov wrote on Max.

The local official added that specialists have also begun clearing debris and removing construction waste at a kindergarten on Zapadnaya Street, which was struck by fragments of a drone.

During the repair work, children attending the kindergarten will be temporarily relocated to a neighbouring building within the educational complex.

The fire at the Wildberries warehouse complex in Elektrostal was caused by a Ukrainian drone strike or impact from drone debris during a nighttime attack on July 18, 2026.

Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces confirmed striking the large logistics center, leading to a massive blaze with visible smoke plumes extending kilometers.

Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that a fire broke out after a drone crashed on the warehouse grounds amid broader drone attacks that also affected an oil depot in nearby Noginsk.
