Firefighters battle terminal blaze in Russia's Tuapse following drone attack VIDEO
Firefighters are continuing efforts to extinguish a large fire at a maritime terminal in Tuapse, located in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, regional authorities said.
According to the Krasnodar Krai Operational Headquarters, the blaze broke out following a drone attack on the night of April 16, Caliber.Az reports.
“A total of 177 people and 56 pieces of equipment, including personnel from the Krasnodar Krai branch of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, are involved in extinguishing the fire that broke out as a result of a drone attack on the night of April 16," the headquarters said.
The statement added that air quality monitoring had been conducted at the site.
“Specialists from Rospotrebnadzor conducted laboratory air tests: the maximum single-point concentrations of pollutants at all measurement points do not exceed health standards," the headquarters stated.
Emergency services remain deployed at the site as firefighting operations continue.
