In Russia, severe flooding in Nizhny Novgorod has caused roads to submerge, according to the Telegram channel “Nizhny Novgorod Without Censorship.”
Reports indicate that in the Podnovye district, cars were seen literally floating on the waterlogged roads due to the overflow from the nearby river.
As a result of the flooding, 402 private properties have been affected across several regions, including the Arzamas, Kulebak, Sarov, and Vyksa city districts, as well as the Uren, Bogorodsk, Bolshie Boldino, and Shatki municipal areas.
In addition, 11 low-level bridges have been submerged. These bridges are located in Kstovo, Bor, and Arzamas city districts, as well as in the Navashino, Semenovo, Gagino, and Pochinki municipal districts.
Authorities are working to manage the situation, with emergency services on high alert due to the extensive damage.
